Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the quality of all food items served.
  • Complete all opening and closing checklists thoroughly.
  • Refer to the Daily Prep List and Checklists at the start of each shift for assigned tasks.
  • Consistently adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and all kitchen policies and procedures.
  • Ensure sufficient stock levels of food products at line stations for smooth service.
  • Portion food items prior to cooking according to established standards and recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including all cooking equipment and surfaces.
  • Prepare items for various cooking methods by portioning, seasoning, and following proper presentation guidelines.
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products correctly, assisting with food prep during quieter periods as needed.
  • Open or close the kitchen according to established procedures and checklists.
  • Complete any additional tasks as directed by management in a timely and respectful manner.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a restaurant cooking role.
  • ServeSafe or Food Handlers certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
