About the Role

Nutanix is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing for Nutanix Database Service (NDB), a database automation offering that simplifies managing database infrastructure at scale.

NDB is transforming how enterprises manage, scale, and optimize their databases across on-prem, edge, and public clouds. Financial institutions, healthcare organizations, public sector organizations, and many more rely on NDB to automate provisioning, patching, copy data management, and lifecycle operations for their databases.

This is an opportunity to dramatically improve how databases are operated and managed, increase agility for developers, and accelerate innovation across industries.

Responsibilities
  • Drive marketing strategy and execution for NDB, including positioning and messaging, campaigns and tactics, content creation and publishing, sales enablement, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Work closely with sales leaders, product leaders, and partner marketing teams to drive joint marketing activities with database partners.
  • Lead from the front and be a spokesperson for the product at events, webinars, and internally for enablement.
  • Develop expertise in the database management landscape, industry trends, and competitor activities to serve as a knowledge resource for internal teams.
  • Own the messaging framework for NDB, including value propositions, use cases, customer personas, and competitive analysis.
  • Develop creative strategies to drive awareness for NDB in targeted industries.
  • Be a recognized and respected spokesperson for NDB, representing the product at customer briefings, webinars, conferences, and sales/partner enablement sessions.
  • Own and coordinate NDB product launches, including content creation, sales enablement, and press and analyst outreach.
  • Develop narratives for key news moments, including industry events, partner conferences, analyst briefings, and.NEXT.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and execute joint marketing initiatives and Go-To-Market strategies.
  • Create and review content, including blogs, white papers, solution briefs, analyst reports, infographics, videos, datasheets, web pages, and TCO/ROI tools.
  • Cultivate customer references and create compelling customer success content.
  • Develop and enhance best-in-class sales enablement tools and programs.
  • Maintain a repository and tracking system for NDB content.
  • Drive and achieve key marketing performance metrics.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of product marketing experience in the database management or cloud services market.
  • Strong domain expertise in database technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, cloud databases, Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS), and database automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science (or equivalent experience), MBA preferred.
  • A humble team player with a bias for action and a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • The ability to think strategically while also executing as an individual contributor.
  • A self-starter who takes the initiative, works independently, and thrives in a rapidly growing company.
  • A proven track record in supporting global sales teams to meet revenue goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong executive communication abilities, and polished presentation skills.
