At Sonoco, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to grow our Specialty Market Segment, managing corporate relationships with key converters, and building strong relationships with targeted end users.
The successful candidate will have primary territory responsibilities for the SE US geography and will lead the integrated Segment Team. Responsibilities include managing price, product, quality, service, new product introductions, and communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the Specialty Market Segment
- Manage corporate relationships with key converters
- Build strong relationships with targeted end users
- Manage price, product, quality, service, new product introductions, and communications
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 year college degree
- 5+ years experience in corrugated or Folded Carton manufacturing and a minimum of 3 years commercial, industrial manufacturing or sales experience in B2B environments, selling/marketing experience with national account management experience
- Familiarity with the packaging industry, specifically food service and corrugated markets
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to travel 2-3 nights/week
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $67,040 - $134,190 per year
- Annual target bonus of 12.5% of base salary
