Wealth Management Cashiering Specialist

Position Overview:

In this role, you will operate under general oversight to manage daily Cashiering operations related to First Horizon Advisors. You will collaborate closely with our Wealth Management team and clients to facilitate transactions and address any issues that arise. Effective communication of updates and transaction statuses between the Wealth Management team and our clearing house is essential. The ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy is crucial, adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the processing of financial transactions into and out of brokerage accounts.
  • Review and authorize money movement transactions, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
  • Guarantee timely and precise posting of check deposits while maintaining accurate records.
  • Handle stock deposits through both physical certificates and electronic methods.
  • Clear necessary legal documentation for stock deposits, including restricted stock.
  • Update and maintain connections between brokerage and banking accounts.
  • Address and resolve rejected items efficiently.
  • Process Fed Wires, ensuring proper documentation is received and recorded.
  • Engage daily with the Wealth Management team regarding paperwork submissions and transaction statuses.
  • Review and process daily reports related to Cashiering functions.
  • Collaborate closely with other Cashiering team members and brokerage departments.
  • Calculate margin calls and communicate with the Sales team and clients.
  • Work directly with our clearing house and Wealth Management team to troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of FINRA Series 6 or 7 license (or successful completion of FINRA Series 99 license within 120 days of employment).
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of the financial industry, markets, banking, and financial planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales and/or broker-dealer operations is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with others, set and achieve goals, and resolve issues while fostering teamwork across departments.
