Retail Cashier - Stage Road Location

Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the Team Leader Coach and Assistant Team Leader, the Cashier is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by welcoming and assisting customers at the checkout and throughout the sales area. The Cashier will efficiently operate the cash register following established cash management policies and maintain a tidy and organized cash wrap area.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers promptly and courteously, providing assistance in locating or selecting products to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

2. Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately process sales transactions and manage pricing and product information.

3. Regularly clean front entrances, counters, and glass surfaces, dust display cases, maintain store cleanliness, and return shopping carts and baskets to designated areas.

4. Support promotional activities by providing customer information, setting up displays, and managing signage.

5. Keep the counter, showcases, and cash wrap areas well-stocked and organized at all times.

6. Assist in onboarding and training new cashiers.

7. Maintain cleanliness in dressing rooms and ensure clothing is properly hung.

8. Place merchandise, including apparel, accessories, and footwear, on the sales floor in the correct locations and rotate stock as necessary.

9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety practices, and report any hazards or injuries to the Team Leader Coach.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift items weighing up to 45 lbs and perform tasks involving bending, pushing, pulling, or reaching.

2. Capability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

Working Environment:

1. Exposure to varying temperatures.

Interpersonal Skills:

1. Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with the Team Leader, team members, customers, and donors.

2. Must be capable of working independently.

3. Maintain a positive demeanor and present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED is required.

2. Six months of retail sales experience is preferred.

3. Ability to organize and manage cash handling procedures in accordance with corporate policies.

4. Proficient in reading, writing, verbal communication, and basic math skills.

5. Must successfully pass a drug and criminal background check.

6. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
