Customer Service Cashier

Position Title: Cashier - Stage Road Location
Job Category: Sales Associates/Cashiers
Job Overview:
The Cashier will operate under the guidance of the Team Leader Coach and Assistant Team Leader, delivering exceptional customer service by welcoming and assisting customers at the register and throughout the sales area. The Cashier is responsible for managing the cash register in line with the established cash management policies and procedures, ensuring a tidy and organized cash wrap area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm and friendly greeting to customers, assisting them in locating or selecting products to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Efficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to guarantee accurate sales transactions and merchandise information.
- Maintain cleanliness by regularly cleaning front doors, counters, and glass surfaces, dusting display cases, and ensuring the front of the store is orderly. Return shopping carts and baskets to designated areas and organize unsold merchandise appropriately.
- Support promotional activities by providing customer information, managing postings, and setting up special signage displays.
- Keep the counter, showcases, and cash wrap areas well-stocked and organized at all times.
- Assist in onboarding and training new cashiers.
- Ensure dressing rooms are clean and organized, re-hanging clothing as necessary.
- Properly display apparel, accessories, and other merchandise on the sales floor, rotating stock as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety practices, and report any hazards or injuries to the Team Leader Coach.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 45 lbs, including bending, pushing, pulling, or reaching.
- Capability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
Work Environment:
Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with the Team Leader, team members, customers, and donors.
- Must be capable of working independently.
- Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor and present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred six (6) months of experience in retail sales.
- Ability to manage cash handling procedures in accordance with corporate policy.
- Proficient in reading, writing, verbal communication, and basic math skills.
- Must successfully pass a drug and criminal background check.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
