Job Overview:
A Construction Support Technician plays an essential role in facilitating construction projects by engaging in a variety of tasks that necessitate a moderate level of skill and knowledge. These technicians typically operate under the guidance of experienced tradespeople, contributing to the effective execution of construction activities, ensuring efficient workflows and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Skilled Trades: Work alongside and provide support to skilled professionals, including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades, in executing construction tasks.
  • Material Management: Handle the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials, tools, and equipment to ensure all necessary supplies are readily available at the worksite.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by cleaning and clearing debris, as well as removing any obstacles to facilitate ongoing construction activities.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain various construction tools and machinery, such as drills, saws, and concrete mixers, while adhering to safety standards.
  • Demolition Assistance: Support demolition efforts, including dismantling structures and properly disposing of materials.
  • Construction Support Tasks: Aid in tasks such as digging trenches, pouring concrete, and setting up scaffolding and temporary structures.
  • Basic Maintenance: Conduct basic repairs and maintenance on construction tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working order.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in the construction field is preferred, although on-the-job training may be available.
  • Physical Endurance: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions.
  • Basic Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with common hand and power tools, along with the capability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of construction site safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow directions from supervisors while assisting colleagues as needed.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and take on various construction tasks, adjusting to changing project needs.
  • Reliability: Proven punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic to meet project timelines and maintain consistent attendance.

A successful Drug Screening is required. We are an E-Verify E.O.E. Company. Semi-skilled applicants must possess hand tools. Overtime and/or weekend work may be necessary.
