Job Description

VadaTech Inc., a leading provider of embedded computing solutions, is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality management system. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for championing continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to drive excellence in product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control and Assurance: Serve as the primary quality control resource for product problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement at our manufacturing facilities.
  • Metrics and Analysis: Establish and implement metrics for monitoring system effectiveness, enabling managers to make informed product quality decisions.
  • Root-Cause Analysis: Perform thorough root-cause analysis to identify effective corrective actions and initiate process improvements.
  • Statistical Data Analysis: Develop and analyze statistical data to predict trends affecting product quality improvement.
  • Customer Specifications: Analyze customers' product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.
  • Process Certification: Develop process certification standards and assist in process certification on the floor.
  • Quality Improvement: Initiate and implement quality improvement activities to raise the performance of our product lines.
  • Employee Training: Educate and train employees on their impact in the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Supplier Quality: Review customer purchase orders, contracts, and change requests to ensure necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
  • Calibration and Testing: Oversee calibration and testing programs.
  • Quality Control Personnel: Manage quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis.
  • Supplier Quality Requirements: Review suppliers' purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
  • Quality Audits: Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Supplier and Customer Quality: Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and ensure effective corrective action is implemented.

Requirements:

  • At least 15 years of experience in ISO9001/AS9100 QA systems implementation and management, as a QA manager in a medium-size Electronics Manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge in an Electronics Manufacturing environment with knowledge in SMT and Mechanical build techniques.
  • Functional knowledge of ipc-a-610, familiarity with j-std-001, and the following:
    • Printed circuit board inspection to ipc-a-610 class.
    • Electronic component identification and verification.
  • Knowledge of using Excel to present statistical data.
  • Proficient knowledge of ESD procedures.
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
  • Fluent domain of the English language: ability to read, write, and speak English well.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
