Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated, full-time Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at our Henderson facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all quality standards are met throughout the food processing and distribution phases. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff, performing audits, crafting and executing quality control protocols, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality regulations during all production and distribution activities.
- Design, implement, and oversee quality control protocols to align with GMP, FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections of both the facility and operational processes.
- Lead and train quality assurance personnel, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.
- Evaluate data, recognize patterns, and devise strategies to improve product quality and operational effectiveness.
- Keep precise records and documentation to support compliance initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Food Safety and Quality Control: In-depth understanding of food safety laws and quality control practices, including GMP, FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards.
- Leadership and Management Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to analyze data, identify trends, and formulate solutions to complex quality challenges.
- Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail: Highly organized with a keen eye for detail, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and compliance monitoring.
- Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant certifications or training in quality control are advantageous.
- Industry Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a quality control capacity within the food sector, including supervisory or managerial roles.
