Position Overview


The Software Quality Assurance Specialist will be tasked with evaluating software quality to enhance customer satisfaction.

This role will focus on identifying and analyzing defects and discrepancies discovered during the testing phase.

Additionally, they will document issues for assessment, report on findings, and collaborate with teams to resolve application-related challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in reviewing business documentation and specifications for all applications under consideration to ascertain their intended functionality for testing purposes.
  • Execute manual test scripts to yield reliable and comprehensive test outcomes.
  • Diagnose and address any issues that may arise within the portals.
  • Collaborate closely with business, Project and Product Managers, Development, and Infrastructure teams to comprehend system flows, processes, and back-end architecture.
  • Test applications, upgrades, patches, and customizations as outlined by requirements.
  • Identify software bugs and potential issues.
  • Conduct regular system evaluations to ensure the seamless operation of the portals.
  • Generate clear and concise defect tickets with reproducible steps using the ticketing system.
  • Develop and execute test cases for various applications and products, including but not limited to; Website, Android/iOS platforms.
  • Update and maintain test cases to ensure the test suite remains current.
  • Design and execute both manual and automated test cases to detect and report software defects across various functionalities.
  • Document test cases, procedures, and findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure all processes comply with industry standards and company policies.
Regularly update and maintain accurate system documentation.

  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements

  • 6+ months of experience in Software QA or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and Zephyr is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of software development methodologies and processes.
  • Knowledge of software testing lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with various testing tools and techniques.
  • Experience in mobile application testing.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and logical decision-making abilities.
  • Capability to solve problems using deductive and inductive reasoning and see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance.
