Job Title: Manager of Communications

The Manager of Communications plays a crucial role in supporting the overall communications needs of the Association of Residential Resources in MN (ARRM). This position is responsible for executing the internal and external communication strategies, maintaining the ARRM brand, and leading social media efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • External Communications:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to engage with diverse audiences.
    • Track performance and report progress against goals.
    • Maintain the ARRM brand and ensure consistency across all communication channels.
    • Educate the public about ARRM's mission and value to the disability industry.
    • Assist in recruitment and retention efforts by promoting the benefits of ARRM membership.
  • Internal Communications:
    • Develop and maintain communication vehicles for targeted audiences, including newsletters, brochures, and website content.
    • Manage the ARRM website and ensure it is up-to-date and engaging.
    • Assist with social media presence and channels.
    • Maintain relationships with key members of the media.
  • Events:
    • Support event planning and promotion.
    • Develop event supporting materials and platforms to enhance the event experience.
    • Implement the ARRM sponsorship plan to increase non-dues revenue.
  • Membership:
    • Maintain recruitment and retention materials to broaden ARRM's membership.
    • Maintain on-boarding materials for new members.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using Higher Logic Thrive, a membership-focused platform.
  • Experience creating and executing internal and external communications plans and strategies.
  • Experience working with Excel, Google Forms, or similar data management tools.
  • Knowledge of marketing and public relations best practices.
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills.
  • Experience working in the health and human services sector.
  • Experience with utilizing social media platforms.
  • Experience working with membership databases.
