About Our Team: At the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, we value teamwork, integrity, and excellence in everything we do. As a Wellness Coordinator, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

Job Overview: As a Wellness Coordinator, you will assist in all aspects of our Group and Water Fitness programs, including supervising and scheduling staff, implementing daily operations, and communicating effectively with staff and leadership.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and schedule group exercise staff.
  • Oversee the implementation of daily operations of the Group Exercise program.
  • Work with senior leadership to execute MOSSA Launches when new releases are made.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and leadership to ensure seamless program execution.


Requirements: To excel as a Wellness Coordinator, you should have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a related field; YMCA experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience.
  • Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) or American Council on Exercise (ACE) certification required.


Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
