Responsibilities

Linda M. Villarreal & Associates, a growing staff counsel program for a major insurance provider, is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their Houston team. We are seeking detail-oriented candidates who can adapt and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic electronic environment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Scheduling and managing calendars for multiple attorneys.
2. Electronic filing with the courts.
3. Pulling docket control orders.
4. Drafting routine legal correspondence.

This position is hybrid, with working hours from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
1. 3-5 years of recent experience in civil defense litigation support, preferably within an insurance defense context.
2. Familiarity with the rules and procedures of District Clerks, along with knowledge of service and filing requirements.
3. Experience with electronic filing in the Texas Court System.
4. Proficiency in various software technologies, tools, and case management systems.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Bilingual skills are preferred but not mandatory.
