Logistics Operations Specialist

Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer to transport products or materials for local and regional distances, adhering to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and Company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the truck and trailers to ensure safe operation and adherence to FMCSA regulations.
- Effectively plan routes using maps, GPS, and written or verbal information to meet scheduled door times.
- Loading and securing cargo against movement and damage within the trailer.
- Ability to read and comprehend trip-related information and plan accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including pre- and post-trip inspections.
Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and FMCSA regulations.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid FMCSA physical certification with Interstate non-excepted classification within 60 days of entry into the position.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Class A CDL valid for Interstate driving using manual and automatic transmission within 60 days of entry into the position.
- Two years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Lifting requirement of 50 lbs.
- Ability to use a pallet jack.
Work Environment:
The work environment may vary, including exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled.
Compensation:
We offer an estimated annual salary of $65,000 based on industry standards for similar positions and locations. This figure is subject to change based on various factors.
