Job Summary:

The Vita Coco Company is seeking a highly motivated and organized Retail Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for increasing the visibility, availability, and overall presence of our brands in assigned retail accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Achieve explosive revenue growth in assigned retail accounts through effective sales strategies and strong relationships with key decision makers.
  • Merchandising and Display: Physically build out both small and large displays using cases of product ranging from 10-35 pounds, ensuring optimal product placement and visibility.
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Programming and Execution: Develop plans within the territory to execute programming given by Vita Coco, ensuring seamless execution and maximum impact.
  • Sales and Marketing: Sell our brand to retailers in coordination with local distributors and brokers, leveraging strong communication and negotiation skills to drive sales growth.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, ensuring optimal in-store availability and driving sales growth.
  • Business Development: Enhance the business by gaining new points of distribution, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Shelf Management: Properly manage shelf space for cold and ambient products, ensuring optimal product placement and visibility.
  • Point of Sale (POS) and Display Merchandising: Implement permanent and paper POS placements and display merchandising, driving sales growth and increasing brand visibility.
  • Brand Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in all things Vita Coco, staying up-to-date on product offerings, marketing initiatives, and sales strategies.
  • Store Visits: Visit top stores to reinforce strong relationships, identify opportunities for growth, and drive sales growth.
  • Product Seedling: Seed product in existing accounts through merchandising and identify potential new accounts, driving sales growth and increasing brand visibility.
  • Continuous Learning: Be willing to learn and participate in all aspects of Vita Coco, staying up-to-date on product offerings, marketing initiatives, and sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Communication and Follow-up Skills: Excellent communication and follow-up skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with key decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift cases of product between 10-35 pounds, with the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Driver's License and Vehicle: Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel between multiple accounts each day if needed.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, with the ability to place product on overhead shelving.
  • Travel: Ability to travel between multiple accounts each day if needed, with the ability to adapt to and work well in all environments.
  • Customer Service and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with key decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with the ability to adapt to and work well in all environments.
  • MS Office Suite Skills: Proficient MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to effectively communicate and present information to key stakeholders.

Job Type: Part-Time
