Job Summary

This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and reporting budgeted and actual cost information on construction projects. The successful candidate will also prepare and review monthly financial reporting, review subcontractor and/or supplier financial and compliance information, and maintain state tax compliance for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the monthly review of project budgets, costs, and profit.
  • Research and audit projects or specific items as needed.
  • Input and track data related to budgets and project costs.
  • Produce owner billings for specific projects.
  • Review subcontractor and/or supplier financial statements.
  • Track and report fixed assets acquisitions and disposals.
  • Research and file state tax requirements for various construction projects.
  • Continually improve processing activities and reports to provide operations with the best information possible within time constraints.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 1-3 years of previous accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in PC computer skills and use of word processing and spreadsheet packages, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently and accurately.
  • Cost accounting experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Previous experience with an audit firm is a plus.

Sick leave accrues at one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked. Accrual for sick leave is capped at 240 hours. At the end of each calendar year, you will be allowed to carry over accrued and unused sick leave up to 240 hours. You will not begin accruing sick leave until you drop below the accrual cap.

The salary for this position is $70,000 to $95,000, and this position is eligible for a target bonus.
