At STO Building Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. This role will support the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other team members in achieving their goals through all phases of a project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the submittal process, RFI process, and change order proposal process. They will also provide research, backup support, legwork, and data entry as requested by the Project Manager and Superintendent.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the submittal process
  • Managing the RFI process
  • Managing the change order proposal process
  • Providing research, backup support, legwork, and data entry as requested
  • Completing budget revisions and modifications in Viewpoint as required
  • Assisting in maintaining a high level of safety in alignment with STO Building Group's core values
  • Providing support for planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects to meet deadlines
  • Offering support to the estimating department by soliciting subcontractors for projects and managing and distributing plans
  • Being the main point of contact for subcontractors as requested by the Project Manager
  • Acting as a Project Manager when a Project Manager is unavailable

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills
  • Understanding of accounting, financial statements, job cost, and cash flow
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • 4-year degree in a construction-related major
  • Motivated for a long-term career in construction
  • 2 years' project engineering experience

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 to $100,000 and a target bonus. Sick leave accrues at one hour for every 30 hours worked, with a cap of 240 hours. Accrued and unused sick leave can be carried over to the next year.
