Role Responsibilities

The Lead Sales Strategist position at RFX is ideal for an individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in freight brokerage. The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of full truckload logistics, encompassing both customer acquisition and carrier management. We expect our sales professionals to confidently oversee shipments from initiation to completion, while we provide resources to enhance your strengths in preferred areas. With an uncapped commission structure, you will have the opportunity to establish financial independence and cultivate your own client base, along with the ability to recruit, train, and manage support personnel as needed.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as the primary contact for your clients on a daily basis.
  • Oversee freight acceptance and commitments to awards and SPOT opportunities.
  • Manage load volumes and collaborate with your team for execution.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of your accounts, including shipping and receiving points, and assess account potential.
  • Conduct outbound cold calls to generate new business leads.
  • Close new accounts and upsell to existing clients.
  • Resolve any issues that arise before, during, or after transit.
  • Negotiate rates and promote RFX to prospective clients.
  • Secure major accounts and motivate peers.
  • Take full responsibility for the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in FTL freight brokerage.
  • Strong pricing and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with FTL (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed).
  • Leadership qualities to mentor and train new team members.
  • Ability to think critically and make informed business decisions.
  • Highly driven with a strong focus on pursuing and closing business opportunities.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team while achieving independent results.
  • Strong persuasive, motivational, and influential abilities.
  • Proficient in prioritizing, multitasking, and effective time management.
