Job Summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Coastal and Waterfront Climate Resilience Engineer to join our Water Management/Climate Adaptation team in the San Francisco Bay Area.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative and transformative solutions to address the challenges posed by climate change and coastal hazards while improving quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of waterfront and coastal resilience and climate adaptation projects for clients across the United States.
  • Conduct climate change impact and risk assessments on water infrastructure assets and develop technical solutions to mitigate the risk and increase the resilience of such assets.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on water resources and resiliency projects.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, project proposals, and design documentation.
  • Support business development activities, including supporting strategy, preparing proposals, and fostering positive relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical/Coastal Engineering, or a related field.
  • ~10 years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Masters degree or PhD in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical/Coastal Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing design plans and specifications for and/or implementing coastal resilience and waterfront projects.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead teams and manage resources.
