Position Overview
The Project Engineer is a key individual contributor tasked with overseeing all or portions of the engineering scope within a CB&I project, ensuring the successful execution of engineering deliverables. This role entails providing guidance and direction to the engineering and design discipline leads throughout the project lifecycle. Ultimately, the Project Engineer is accountable for the quality and integrity of the work produced. Responsibilities encompass both administrative and technical management, including schedule adherence, cost control, and quantity oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate the engineering and design discipline leads on assigned projects.
  • Oversee the execution of engineering deliverables, managing the engineering schedule, budget, document controls, and staffing requirements.
  • Establish project protocols to guarantee that deliverables align with client expectations and established engineering standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication among various engineering disciplines.
  • Conduct reviews of work with clients, management, and functional leads.
  • Identify issues and collaborate with the engineering team to implement solutions.
  • Proactively manage and adapt to changes throughout the project.
  • Maintain a focus on CB&I's end products, whether in engineering, fabrication, or construction.
  • May serve as the Project Engineering Manager for specific projects.

Local Requirements
  • US: ABET accredited engineering degree.

Qualifications
  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience in large-scale industrial projects; 3-5 years in a specific discipline.
