The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to deliver instruction in the Communications program. We are particularly interested in candidates to teach the following course:

Foundations of Oral Communications (SPCH 100):
This course serves as a prerequisite for all advanced SPCH courses. It introduces students to the fundamentals of oral communication, focusing on interpersonal skills, group dynamics, and public speaking. The aim is to equip students with the ability to prepare and deliver speeches, provide constructive feedback, and engage in collaborative activities.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Professional experience in communications or a related area.
  • Prior experience teaching adult learners in online and higher education settings is highly desirable.
  • This role specifically requires teaching on-site at Fort Cavazos, TX.
