The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to deliver instruction in the Communications program. We are particularly interested in candidates for the following course:

Foundations of Oral Communications (SPCH 100):
This course serves as a prerequisite for all advanced SPCH courses. It provides an introduction to oral communication, focusing on interpersonal communication, small-group dynamics, and public speaking. The primary aim is to equip students with the skills to prepare and deliver speeches, offer constructive feedback, and engage in collaborative activities.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Professional experience in communications or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching adult learners in higher education is highly desirable.
  • This role requires teaching on-site.
