Job Summary:

LADGOV CORPORATION is seeking a skilled Barber Instructor to provide advanced occupational training to incarcerated students at a federal medical center. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing curriculum, preparing lesson plans, and maintaining student progress records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive barber vocational training program, including curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Provide instruction to up to 5 inmates/students per day, Monday through Friday, for approximately 6 hours per day.
  • Maintain accurate student progress records and account for government-furnished supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the institution to provide skills for re-entry employment in the community and to enhance existing work details within the institution.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education or related field, or equivalent experience in instruction and curriculum development.
  • Vocational certification in Barber/Cosmetology from an accredited college, technical school, or university.
  • Experience in providing barbering instruction and certification by the Texas Department of License & Regulation as a Barber/Cosmetology Instructor.
  • Valid barber/cosmetology license.

Working Conditions:
