About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Maxim Healthcare Services. As a Pediatric Private Duty Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children in need of specialized medical attention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
  • Signs and Symptoms: Assess and identify signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition, and take appropriate action to address these changes.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members to inform patient care decisions.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities, including nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
  • Interventions and Revisions: Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and hospital policies, and revise the plan of care as needed based on evaluation and changes in medical plan of care.
  • Clinical Judgment: Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs, establishing priorities and making informed decisions.
Requirements
  • Current RN License: Possess a current Registered Nurse license for the state in which you practice.
  • Health Certificate: Maintain a current Health Certificate, as required by facility contract or state regulation.
  • PPD or Chest X-Ray: Have a current PPD or Chest X-Ray, as required by facility contract or state regulation.
  • BLS Card: Possess a current BLS card.
  • Experience: One year prior Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
Skills and Qualifications
  • G-tube: Experience with G-tube care and management.
  • Trach: Experience with tracheostomy care and management.
  • Pap via Vent: Experience with pediatric patients requiring pap via vent care.
  • Pediatric Care: Experience providing care to pediatric patients.
