About the Role:

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide private duty nursing services to pediatric and adult patients in their own homes. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and services, working closely with our clients and their families to ensure their needs are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required.
  • Initiate the plan of care when directed and request revisions as patient status and needs change.
  • Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals.
  • Intervene as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and report changes to appropriate physician or supervisor.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor and document effectiveness of intervention.
  • Review plan of care and program protocols and identify areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs, as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
  • Current BLS card.
  • One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
