Job Overview

SUMMARY: Responsible for the collection and evaluation of incoming bulk materials, ensuring compliance with established standards. Conduct thorough analysis of processes from concentrate to filtration utilizing various analytical instruments including refractometers, spectrophotometers, turbidimeters, titrators, colorimeters, and vitamin C titrators to guarantee the integrity of raw materials. Oversee the quality of finished products through the aforementioned testing methods. Maintain precise, comprehensive documentation to uphold the quality of the final product. Foster effective communication with production staff and management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential tasks effectively. The qualifications outlined below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in English communication
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and understand complex instructions, statistical reports, and correspondence
  • Capability to write basic correspondence
  • Aptitude for effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings to clients, customers, and colleagues
  • Strong comprehension of statistical data, laboratory analysis, and laboratory protocols
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure
  • Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages
  • Skill in interpreting graphical data such as bar graphs and line charts
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Completion of Taste the Difference Flavor Evaluation Training
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Understanding of Thermal Processes
  • Training in HAZCOM/HAZCAT
  • Emergency Evacuation Training
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control
  • Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Reliable and adaptable to perform various tasks as needed
  • Self-driven and collaborative
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency
