Position Summary:
Field Service Mechanic

The Community Choice Financial Family of Brands is actively seeking a

Field Service Mechanic.


The Field Service Mechanic is tasked with managing a substantial volume of light mechanical tasks, occasionally extending to medium-level repairs throughout your designated territory of auction sites.

This role involves frequent overnight travel to enhance operational efficiency at various auction locations.


You will serve as a vital resource for leadership, providing insights and ensuring that our operational standards are upheld by the auction teams.

This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined individual seeking both professional and financial advancement.

Your expertise will directly influence our operational success and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate closely with Auction Managers and District Managers: Build relationships with branch managers and communicate directly regarding completed repairs.

Propose enhancements to your supervisor for operational and procedural improvements.
Oversee parts procurement, reconciliation, and returns with national suppliers.
Transport parts to and from job sites and facilitate the installation or removal of these components on vehicles.
Travel 50% to 75% to designated auction branches.
Maintain vehicle records and report both manually and digitally.
Conduct basic repairs on light and medium-duty vehicles to restore them to operational status.
Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the Mobile Service Truck.
Engage with auction managers through both email and in-person interactions as necessary.
Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance or possession of an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical institution, along with 2+ years of automotive mechanic experience.
A valid Driver's License and necessary automotive insurance are required.

Computer Proficiency:
Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Email.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Capability to interpret reports, weather forecasts, and develop plans accordingly to optimize time and success.
Experience in placing parts orders, maintaining tracking, and managing refunds.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with colleagues, supervisors, etc.).
A comprehensive toolset and toolbox are essential.
Physical ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl for vehicle repairs.
Willingness to work outdoors in various extreme weather conditions.
Experience as a Mobile Mechanic is advantageous.
Exposure to significant dust, diesel fumes, and noise.
Familiarity with chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants.
Ability to lift and position heavy objects.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
