This role is fully remote, with a requirement for significant travel (approximately 80%) to client locations across the Southeastern United States. Candidates must reside in Georgia and be conveniently located near an airport.
Key Qualifications:
- Location Requirement: Must live in Georgia and be near an airport.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the field is required; candidates with extensive experience are encouraged to apply.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Proficiency in diagnosing electrical issues, including:
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (programming skills are advantageous).
- Familiarity with voltage ranges from 120v to 480v.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
- Mechanical Skills: A solid understanding of machinery and equipment assembly, including:
- Capability to read basic blueprints for motors and assemble them accordingly.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively, with initial training lasting 2-3 months before client site assignments.
- Communication Skills: Strong presentation abilities and capacity to manage high-pressure situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Educational background in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Capital Equipment: Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and commissioning of equipment, particularly in packaging, is highly desirable.
- Automation Knowledge: Understanding of automation technologies, including conveyors and robotics.
- PLC Programming: Hands-on experience with PLC logic editing or relevant certifications.
- Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
Travel Details:
- 80% travel requirement.
- Overnight bonuses available.
- Hourly wage increases when working on-site with clients.
- Daily per diem provided.
