Reconstruction Foreman Job Summary

The Reconstruction Foreman plays a critical role in ensuring that reconstruction projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day aspects of reconstruction projects, including managing project crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and overseeing the efficient execution of the reconstruction process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Reconstruction Project Managers to understand project objectives, scope, and timeline.
  • Develop daily project plans, including work methods, equipment selection, and resource allocation.
  • Determine safety measures and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and permits.
  • Supervise a team of subcontractors and/or field staff, assigning tasks and responsibilities.
  • Monitor work progress and productivity, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
  • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crews.
  • Ensure proper documentation on projects, including daily/weekly notes, progress photos, and other requirements.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and report them to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with the project team, including subcontractors and customers.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Project Coordinator and Project Manager.
  • Ensure that reconstruction work meets quality standards and specifications.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction systems and techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of office technology, especially Microsoft.
  • Knowledgeable about file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organization skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Customer service-oriented.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform duties as requested.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extremely organized.
