Job Description

Job Summary:

Tarkett is seeking an experienced and strategic Production Supervisor to lead associates in ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, and production requirements. The successful candidate will execute the Tarkett strategy, drive continuous improvement through World Class Manufacturing, and maintain effective associate relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive daily schedule attainment and allocate resources effectively
  • Define problems, collect data, and take decisive action
  • Monitor and evaluate performance using Shop Floor Management Tools
  • Take ownership of shift and performance reporting management
  • Evaluate and coordinate training needs and initiatives
  • Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance to improve production processes and equipment operation
  • Provide coaching and guidance, and execute consistent documentation within the corrective action process
  • Improve record procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and ISO requirements
  • Learn, understand, and communicate compliance issues related to Company guidelines and union contract
  • Participate in projects and process improvements to drive change and improve results
  • Demonstrate a hands-on leadership approach to identifying, resolving, and communicating issues across the plant
  • Coach, develop, and train employees

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role
  • Ability to work four 12-hour shifts (4 on 4 off schedule) night shifts
  • Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, ADP/SAP is a plus
  • Analyze and interpret product specifications, production schedules, quality documentation, and other process/performance documentation in English
  • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and interact with employees, managers, and peers
  • Experience operating within quality framework such as ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 18000
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and Visual Shop Floor Management experience with handling and prioritizing multiple tasks at the same time
