Company Overview: Cloverland Farms Dairy is dedicated to providing high-quality dairy products and is currently looking for a skilled Lead Engineer to join our Maintenance team.

Position Summary: The Lead Engineer will work under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, focusing on both preventive and corrective maintenance of our UHT / ESL machinery.

Compensation: Starting pay at $33 per hour.

Work Schedule: Day shifts with the requirement to work weekends and off-hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test new machinery and components, ensuring they operate correctly.
  • Diagnose issues by interpreting electrical schematics, PLC programming, and machine error codes.
  • Provide training to fellow mechanics on equipment operations.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance via phone during off-hours.
  • Manage inventory and order necessary parts for repairs.
  • Document service records and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on various equipment, including box formers, robotic palletizers, homogenizers, pumps, air valves, and fillers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Possession of an electrician or boiler license is advantageous.
  • Experience with PLC programming is essential.
  • Proficient in installing, repairing, servicing, testing, and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with effective training abilities.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Capable of working under pressure during equipment downtime.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diagnostic skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in wet and slippery conditions.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, pulling, and climbing ladders during an 8 to 10-hour shift.
