Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and performing assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise. You will work on critical or analytical engineering projects, evaluating, developing, and implementing projects that have significant financial and operational impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform engineering tasks and projects associated with critical or analytical engineering projects or small numbers of complex projects that require specialized knowledge in many areas.
  • Evaluate, develop, implement, and lead projects that have significant financial and operational impact.
  • Participate in department planning, through field/site walkdowns, attend meetings/conference calls, provide budget recommendations, and monitor performance for the accomplishment of committed results.
  • Perform assignments while acting independently and may lead multi-discipline teams, including providing direct oversight of contractors.
  • Serve as an expert in specialized areas and act as an expert witness or provide expert opinions as required.
  • Provide recommendations to management and implement action plans to improve performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Provide detailed technical training, mentorship, peer review, and/or guidance to others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches and engineering theory.
  • Detailed knowledge of applicable standards, codes, methods, and practices unique to areas of expertise.
  • 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Minimum of three related career experiences or Lead Member of a recognized industry committee or Professional Engineer's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical engineer with primary service experience.
  • Strong foundation in gas and/or electric distribution.
  • Experience with communication systems, including leading and organizing cross-team initiatives.
