Position Overview: Business Analyst – Financial Operations
This role focuses on the development, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of reports concerning the financial and operational performance of the Business Development Department and its Strategic Business Units (SBU).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret financial data, comparing results against budgets and forecasts for management insights.
  • Develop and monitor financial metrics and key performance indicators for SBUs.
  • Examine business trends, present findings, and provide recommendations to support portfolio management.
  • Generate detailed analyses of financial results, offering reports and commentary to SBU owners.
  • Anticipate the needs of SBU owners to enhance their financial operations and metrics management.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of reporting requests through the creation and maintenance of financial models.
  • Assist in preparing departmental budgets and business plans.
  • Identify business needs and translate them into customized reports for unit owners and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.
  • Five to seven years of relevant business experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis using both common and advanced analytical techniques.
  • Strong understanding of financial budgeting and reporting methodologies.
  • Ability to navigate complex business issues across various units.
  • Critical thinking skills for sound data interpretation and analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with modern office practices and procedures.

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be necessary, up to 10% of the time.
