Role Summary and RequirementsThe Respiratory Care Practitioner operates under the guidance of the Medical Director and Clinical Supervisor, adhering to established protocols and departmental policies. The Respiratory Therapist must exhibit the capability to evaluate, treat, and care for patients with both acute and chronic respiratory conditions. The individual will possess the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver care to patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
This job description is not exhaustive; the employee may also undertake other related duties as assigned. HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood reserves the right to modify job responsibilities as necessary.
QualificationsEducation and Training:
· Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
Experience:
· A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
· Certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care - CRT license.
· Current BCLS certification.
· ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications may be required within 90 days of hire; consult the Cardiopulmonary Director for specifics.
· A valid license to practice respiratory care in Texas is mandatory.
