Patient Care Technician Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Emergency Department team at Trinity Health Livonia Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Perform routine tasks such as collecting and sending specimens, removing peripheral IV catheters, and assisting with feeding and menu selection.
- Document patient information and required data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
