About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to provide confidential support, mentoring, advocacy, and guidance to families navigating complex systems. As a Family Navigator, you will create individualized roadmaps to ensure families receive accurate, specific, and aligned services that meet their needs and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide peer support and guidance to families, empowering them to make informed decisions and advocate for themselves.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, community agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless support and coordination.
- Utilize knowledge of service systems and resources to connect families with relevant services and support.
- Facilitate support groups, trainings, and presentations to promote family empowerment and community engagement.
- Document all services and activities in our electronic health record system.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with families and children with behavioral health and/or autism spectrum disorder.
- Completion of Family Peer Support training and Autism Family Peer Support training within 3 months of hire.
- Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprint, and Criminal Background Clearances.
- Reliable mode of transportation.
- Knowledge of Systems of Care and trauma-informed care.
- Experience with child and family advocacy.
- Experience with administrative tasks, such as tracking and monitoring data.
