Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to junior team members.
  • Install conduit and MC-HL type cabling in compliance with NEC standards.
  • Effectively install and troubleshoot various relays, VFDs, and both wireless and wired instrumentation and controllers.
  • Work with diverse process, compression, and metering equipment utilized in the upstream and midstream oilfield sectors.
  • Possess knowledge in the installation of electrical power, control, measurement, and safety systems for the oil and gas industry.
  • Generate and communicate comprehensive work records and documentation.
  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation effectively.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Electronic Flow Meters (EFMs).
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot radios and cellular modems.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience, Education, and Certifications:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in instrumentation and electrical work within the industrial oil and gas sectors.
  • Proficient in all project phases related to the installation of instrumentation and electrical systems or equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Familiarity with current codes and standards in NFPA 70E (NEC code book).
  • Relevant regulatory safety training is necessary.

Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in interpreting and modifying electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, switchgear, and circuit types, with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Skilled in working with low and medium voltage equipment and circuits.
  • Knowledgeable about common electrical components used in the oil and gas industry.
  • Capable of installing, wiring, and conducting loop tests on PLCs, RTUs, and EFMs.
  • Committed to safety and able to identify potential hazards.
  • Able to perform under pressure and exhibit leadership in challenging situations.
  • Proficient in calibrating and troubleshooting process instrumentation.

  • Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and demonstrating flexibility.

  • Digital Camera
  • Multimeter
  • Megger
  • Amp Probe
  • Calibration equipment (Hart, Crystal, loop calibrator, etc.)
  • Handheld electrical tools necessary for job duties.
  • Laptop with software for configuring EFMs, cellular modems, and radio networks.

Work Environment:
  • Willingness to work weekends and/or overtime as needed to meet deadlines or customer requests.
  • Primarily field-based work, subject to time constraints and dependent on input from others.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and comply with company driving policy requirements.
  • Per diem compensation for travel-related expenses will be provided in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Subject to background checks and drug/alcohol testing as per federal regulations.
