Position Overview:

The Electrical Control Specialist is tasked with the installation and maintenance of various electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems within production and distribution networks. This role encompasses the inspection and installation of essential components in new construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the design and construction phases of pump stations and control systems.
  • Assist in the installation of pumps, motors, and control equipment as required.
  • Oversee the maintenance of both hydraulic and electrically operated control valves.
  • Conduct inspections and repairs of electrical circuits in new construction projects, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Manage the installation and troubleshooting of telemetry and control systems.
  • Maintain and repair instrumentation equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Perform testing and calibration of various measurement devices using specialized equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors for effective maintenance and repair operations.
  • Document progress and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and the public.
  • Proficient in mathematical calculations and the interpretation of technical documents.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of water quality standards and regulatory compliance is essential.
  • Relevant certifications in water distribution and treatment operations are necessary within the specified timeframe.
