Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and assign tasks to junior team members.
  • Install conduit and MC-HL type cables in compliance with NEC standards.
  • Install and troubleshoot various relays, VFDs, and both wireless and wired instrumentation and controllers.
  • Work with process, compression, and metering equipment in the oil and gas industry.
  • Implement electrical power, control, measurement, and safety systems for upstream and midstream operations.
  • Generate and maintain detailed work records and documentation.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation effectively.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Electronic Flow Meters (EFMs).
  • Set up and resolve issues with radios and cellular modems.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in instrumentation and electrical work within the industrial oil and gas sectors.
  • Proficient in all project phases related to the installation of instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current knowledge of NFPA 70E and NEC codes.
  • Completion of relevant regulatory safety training.

Essential Skills:
  • Ability to interpret and modify electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, switchgear, and circuit types with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience working with low and medium voltage equipment and circuits.
  • Familiarity with electrical components commonly used in the oil and gas sector.
  • Competence in installing, wiring, and testing PLCs, RTUs, and EFMs.
  • Commitment to safety and hazard recognition.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and lead effectively in challenging situations.
  • Skill in calibrating and troubleshooting process instrumentation.

Interpersonal Skills:
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and interact with various levels of personnel.
  • Flexibility in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
