As a Clinical Nutrition Specialist (RD), you will:

Assist patients, families, and healthcare staff in all facets of medical nutrition therapy to cultivate a supportive and health-oriented environment. Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure quality care tailored to each patient's nutritional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional evaluations and implement interventions grounded in evidence-based practices for both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Educate patients, families, nursing staff, food service personnel, and other healthcare team members on nutritional requirements
  • Document patient assessments, nutritional goals, and interventions in medical records
  • Engage with physicians and clinical staff regarding patients' nutritional health
  • Oversee physician directives for therapeutic diets and nutritional supplements
  • Participate in patient rounds and uphold clinical nutrition policies to ensure compliance with regulations

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and state licensure as mandated
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food and Nutrition or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards
  • Proficient in computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets
