Position Overview: The Trauma Operations Coordinator is accountable for the effective management and coordination of all facets of trauma operations, including the trauma network survivor program and post-traumatic stress disorder assessments within the healthcare facility. This role necessitates close collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Manager to ensure a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach throughout the trauma care continuum, while upholding the established standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative assistance to the trauma operations team, which includes:
    1. Organizing and maintaining documentation pertinent to trauma patient care, treatment strategies, and procedural guidelines.
    2. Facilitating communication among medical personnel, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals involved in trauma care.
    3. Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards by maintaining precise records and documentation.
    4. Preparing reports, presentations, and various materials to support the trauma operations initiatives.
    5. Coordinating training sessions and educational opportunities for staff on trauma care protocols and best practices.
    6. Assisting in the execution of quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing trauma care services.
    7. Managing the inventory of supplies and equipment utilized in trauma operations, including placing orders as needed.
    8. Coordinating on-call services across the trauma care continuum and overseeing their distribution within the facility.
    9. Serving as the onsite Coordinator for the Trauma Survivors Network and maintaining connections with trauma survivors.
  2. Post-Traumatic Screening Program: Actively engage in the post-traumatic screening initiative, which encompasses data collection and patient assessments.
    1. Fulfill all compliance obligations associated with the role and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Proven experience in an administrative support capacity, ideally within a healthcare or medical environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications is essential.
