Position Overview
Summary:
The Trauma Operations Coordinator is accountable for the management and facilitation of all elements related to trauma operations, including survivor support and post-traumatic stress disorder assessments within the healthcare facility. This role necessitates close collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Manager to ensure a cohesive approach to trauma care across various disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the trauma operations team, including organizing meetings, managing schedules, and overseeing correspondence.
2. Aid in the organization and upkeep of documentation pertinent to trauma patient management, care strategies, and procedural guidelines.
3. Facilitate effective communication among medical personnel, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers involved in trauma patient management.
4. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards by maintaining precise records and documentation.
5. Generate reports, presentations, and supplementary materials to support the activities of the trauma operations team.
6. Assist in coordinating training sessions and educational initiatives for staff on trauma care protocols and best practices.
7. Support the execution of quality enhancement projects aimed at improving trauma care services.
8. Oversee the inventory of supplies and equipment utilized in trauma operations, placing orders as required.
9. Coordinate on-call services throughout the trauma care continuum and manage their distribution across the healthcare facility.
10. Serve as the onsite Coordinator for the Trauma Survivors Network, maintaining connections with trauma survivors.
11. Actively engage in the post-traumatic screening initiative, which includes data collection and patient evaluations.
12. Fulfill all compliance obligations associated with the role.
Other Information:
Demonstrated experience in an administrative support capacity, ideally within a healthcare or medical environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Requires some manual skills and finger dexterity.
Occupational: Involves some occupational risks.
Physical Effort: Medium to heavy physical effort may be required, with the potential to exert up to 35 lbs. of force.
Physical Environment: May encounter exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and other environmental factors.
