Trauma Operations Specialist

As a vital member of the Danbury Hospital team, the Trauma Operations Coordinator is tasked with the management and facilitation of all trauma-related activities. This role encompasses the coordination of trauma network survivors and the administration of post-traumatic stress syndrome evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to the trauma operations team, including the organization of meetings, calendar management, and correspondence handling.
- Support the organization and upkeep of documentation pertinent to trauma patient management, treatment protocols, and procedural guidelines.
- Facilitate effective communication among medical personnel, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals engaged in trauma patient care.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards by maintaining precise records and documentation.
- Generate reports, presentations, and various materials to bolster the activities of the trauma operations team.
- Assist in the coordination of training sessions and educational initiatives for staff regarding trauma care protocols and best practices.
- Contribute to the execution of quality enhancement projects aimed at improving trauma care services.
- Oversee the inventory of supplies and equipment utilized in trauma operations, placing orders as required.
- Coordinate on-call services throughout the trauma care continuum and manage their distribution across the facility.
- Act as the onsite Coordinator for the Trauma Survivors Network, ensuring the maintenance of the trauma survivor community.
- Engage actively in the post-traumatic screening initiative, which includes data collection and patient evaluations.
- Fulfill all compliance obligations associated with the role.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in an administrative support capacity, ideally within a healthcare or medical environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Requires some manual skills and dexterity.
Occupational: Involves some occupational hazards.
Physical Effort: Medium to heavy physical exertion may be required, with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Physical Environment: May encounter exposure to various environmental factors such as dirt, odors, noise, and other biological materials.
