Cornell University is seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician II to join our team in the Companion Animal Hospital. As a key member of our Internal Medicine department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our small animal clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the receiving and workup of incoming cases from initial contact to discharge.
- Assist with patient scheduling and complete nursing care and procedures as needed.
- Process blood and urine collection, diagnostic tests, and cytology samples.
- Manage client communication, including email and phone calls, and deliver messages to clinicians.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff on clinical investigations and studies.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent experience.
- NYS licensure or eligibility to be licensed.
- Minimum 1 year of LVT experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous private practice and/or Internal Medicine experience.
- Experience in supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
About the Position:
This is an onsite position located in Ithaca, NY. We are unable to provide Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
