We are currently seeking an Audit Manager to enhance our Lending division. This team specializes in banking and specialty finance, where we proudly hold the position of middle market leaders across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt, high-quality client service that meets or surpasses expectations, including coordinating the auditing of all necessary financial statements, disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Evaluate risks and design as well as communicate audit procedures to engagement teams effectively.
  • Comprehend and apply RSM's Audit Methodology proficiently.
  • Oversee multiple engagement teams and prepare evaluations at the conclusion of engagements for staff members.
  • Recognize the skills and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors, monitoring and reviewing their work while providing constructive feedback throughout the process.
  • Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors on engagement teams, acting as the in-charge to facilitate fieldwork by monitoring productivity and adherence to work plans for each assignment.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the year to understand the implications of significant developments in their business and assess the impact on current audit engagements.
  • Foster the development of others within the Firm by leading industry-specific training, advising on career growth, or participating in various Firm initiatives.
  • Stay informed by subscribing to and actively reading industry publications, sharing relevant insights with clients as appropriate.
  • Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise.
  • Understand RSM's service lines and discuss potential opportunities with client management to facilitate valuable introductions within the firm.
  • Formulate strategies to leverage external relationships with various Centers of Influence to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability effectively.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Spot opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Ensure continuous professional development through ongoing education.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments affecting GAAP and the Firm's standards and policies.
  • Be prepared to travel up to 25% of the year, depending on client needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a public accounting setting.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Strong understanding of audit services, including knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
  • A track record of building sustainable, profitable client relationships.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A successful history of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple simultaneous engagements.

Compensation Range: $86,500 - $163,900. Selected individuals will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
