Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and supervise assigned delivery driver personnel to ensure they meet the company's standards.
  • Supervise delivery drivers in all aspects, including customer service, accuracy, and productivity, to maintain a high level of service quality.
  • Oversee driver scheduling to ensure timely delivery of products and optimize routes for maximum efficiency.
  • Coordinate all safety activities for Delivery staff, including ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Manage the efficiency of the delivery routes, coordinating with the routing team to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure inventory control is maintained with driver returns and breakage through regular checks and audits.
  • Foster and maintain a collaborative relationship with the sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Ensure all fleet standards, licensing, and inspections are up to date for all vehicles, and work with 3rd party fleet maintenance providers to ensure the fleet is properly maintained.
  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance and ability to work with maintenance providers to ensure the fleet is in good condition.
  • Ability to work 9am - 6pm Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • 2-year associate's degree or comparable work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in delivery operations, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation management.
  • Class A License with current Medical Card.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Processes and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of RoadNet delivery routing software and GPS tracking software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and internet applications.
  • AS400 experience preferred.
