Position Overview: As a vital member of the Department of the Navy, you will take on the role of an analyst, responsible for synchronizing, coordinating, and integrating cyber posture activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a policy and technical authority for Navy cyber programs, crafting processes to retrieve, compile, and analyze cyber data from diverse sources.
  • Prepare and present briefing materials, providing clear and concise input during decision-making forums.
  • Offer expert advice and policy guidance on Navy-wide reform initiatives, gathering and analyzing data to support evaluations and recommendations for enhancing cyber posture.
  • Conduct audits of cyber programs and projects as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic goals, mission, vision, and policies for the Principal Cyber Advisor (PCA).
  • Monitor and analyze the application of cyber policies and practices, developing and updating guidance to improve the Navy's cyber risk posture.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
  • New hires must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Compliance with drug testing protocols is required, including random testing.
  • This position may necessitate travel to various locations, including remote sites.
  • A TS/SCI clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess information technology (IT) experience demonstrating the following competencies:

  • Oral Communication: Skill in conveying information effectively to various audiences.

Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level is required, including:

  • Experience in retrieving, compiling, and analyzing cyber data.
  • Experience in developing and implementing cyber-related policies and guidance.
  • Experience in participating in audits of cyber programs.
