Washington, United States Penta Group Full time

About Penta Group

Penta Group is a comprehensive stakeholder solutions firm that provides data-driven solutions for stakeholder strategy and engagement. We combine analytics and research with deep expertise to deliver actionable insights, craft best practice solutions, and drive measurable impact for our clients.

Our clients span technology, financial services, energy, healthcare, and more. Our team brings decades of experience in business, government, communications, research, technology, and media. Penta Group comprises over 300 professionals in the US working to bring data-driven, tailored solutions to more than 200 clients.

About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level professional to join our dynamic Creative team as a Senior Director of Brand Strategy. Senior Directors of Brand Strategy lead multiple client engagements and internal projects and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Senior Directors of Brand Strategy are responsible for all components of client and internal project management: strategy setting, daily client interactions, organizing teamwork internally, and guiding and mentoring producers, associates, analysts, and interns in their work.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and manage the strategic direction of projects, designate tasks to Producers and Designers accordingly, and ensure the team stays on track to meet clients' needs based on the scope of work agreements.
  2. Lead client meetings, serving as the first point of contact for any concerns or questions.
  3. Monitor clients' business, industry activities, and related media coverage to maintain a current knowledge base of the relevant market and news cycles.
  4. Use industry-specific research assessments to inform strategic client recommendations and proposals for potential clients.
  5. Work closely with client teams and internal teams to provide direction that turns qualitative and quantitative research into creative, emotionally compelling, and digital storytelling concepts that capture the depth of insights and findings.
  6. The Senior Director's role will be focused on the macro strategic choices within the realms of brand strategy, campaign development, advertising, and digital strategy, rather than on details of design or production.

Requirements

Required:

  1. 8+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, advertising, or a related creative field, 4+ in a leadership capacity managing teams.
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate talented, high-achieving teams, empowering different types of personalities with a team-first mentality.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities.
  5. Willingness to learn new skills and participate in new projects, leading by example and embracing new challenges.
  6. Strong interest in creative content.
  7. Experience working in a client service environment.

Preferred:

  1. Previous work on public affairs or public awareness campaigns, professional services, or complex issues like healthcare or finance.
  2. Experience working on remote teams.

What We Offer

  • Remote work location / work from home (if desired).
  • Excellent health care benefits with 100% of individual employee and 50% of dependent health care premiums covered; coverage includes dental and vision.
  • Competitive retirement benefits with 401(k) matching.
  • Twelve weeks paid parental leave.
  • Monthly stipend for cell phone.
  • Unlimited paid time off and generous holiday schedule.
  • Frequent firm-wide social events and activities.
  • Excellent environment for learning and growth.

Location

This position is for US-based personnel and is fully remote.
