Lead Behavior Technician

The Lead Behavior Technician plays a crucial role in delivering personalized support to clients in various environments, including clinical, educational, and community settings. This position demands a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and physical stamina to engage clients effectively in therapeutic activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services tailored to individual client needs.
- Utilize and exemplify ABA methodologies, strategies, and organizational policies.
- Remain available during indirect service hours for support as required.
- Provide on-site assistance to colleagues during designated hours.
- Facilitate staff breaks and manage behavioral interventions.
- Collect and analyze ABC data to inform treatment plans.
- Address inquiries from team members or direct them to appropriate supervisors.
- Offer constructive feedback to the clinical leadership regarding client progress and behavioral changes.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure effective treatment strategies are in place.
- Mentor and support new team members as directed by the Senior BCBA.
- Complete clinical tasks assigned by the supervising BCBA.
- Assist in data entry and program modifications as necessary.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly programs and educational materials.
- Organize and maintain materials essential for programming.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain cleanliness of therapeutic tools and resources.
- Support the overall efficiency of daily program operations.
- Participate in case reviews during training for new hires as assigned.
- Lead team meetings under the guidance of the BCBA.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments as directed.
- Assist in the execution of behavior plans and progress documentation under BCBA supervision.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff by reporting incidents and adhering to safety protocols.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in or acceptance to a Master's level ABA program.
- At least one year of experience in the field of ABA.
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
- Demonstrated commitment to the organization with a minimum of six months of service or exceptional qualifications.
- Maintain a utilization rate of 80% for scheduled hours monthly.
- Obtain and sustain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Achieve and uphold Safety Care certification.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency with technology and software applications.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding timesheet submissions and medical documentation.
Physical Requirements:
Under typical conditions, the employee must possess the physical ability to use hands for grasping and fine manipulation continuously. The role may require:
- Quick physical responses, including walking or jogging short distances and standing for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying weights as necessary.
- Pushing or pulling loads up to 150 lbs.
- Squatting, kneeling, and bending as required.
- Twisting of the upper and lower body.
