We are looking for a dedicated Child Life Therapist to join our Early Intervention (EI) Team at NORTH SUFFOLK COMMUNITY SERVICES INC. As a Child Life Therapist, you will work with infants and toddlers who are experiencing developmental delays or are at risk for developmental delays.

Job Summary:

As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide developmental and expressive therapy, trauma-informed intervention strategies, and support to clients in their homes, programs, or community settings. You will also collaborate with client families and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized plans that promote child development and family well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide EI screening/intake, evaluation, and assessment of infants and toddlers.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support child development and family well-being.
  • Collaborate with client families and the EI team in identifying concerns, priorities, and resources.
  • Refer for discrete/specialized child therapies and refer to other case management and counseling services when appropriate.

**Estimated Salary:** $67,500 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred in Counseling Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Expressive Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Music Therapy, or Art Therapy.
  • LICSW or LMHC licensure preferred.
  • Experience in Infancy/Early Childhood and Special Education preferred.
  • Early Intervention certification with the Department of Public Health (DPH) required.
